[会议背景介绍]

The 2nd International Symposium of Nanocellulosic Materials (ISNCM) is being held in Tianjin, China from May 16-17, 2019, with the co-organization of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute Co., Ltd., Tianjin Technical Association of Paper Industry, and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology.

This symposium is hosted by the Nanocellulose and Materials Committee of the China Technical Association of Paper Industry (NMC of CTAPI) with the motivation to facilitate more breakthroughs in research, innovation, and commercialization of nanocellulosic materials. The 2nd ISNCM in 2019 is a successor to the 1st ISNCM successfully held in Hangzhou, China from May 20-22, 2017, which attracted over 270 attendees from 8 countries, bringing creative minds together regarding preparation and production, characterization, modification, and application of Nanocellulosic Materials.

On behalf of the 2nd ISNCM organizing committee, specialists all over the world who are interested in the research and development of nanocellulosic materials, either from academia or industry, are welcomed to attend this symposium, to share your valuable experiences and achievements. We sincerely hope the symposium will help you keep up to date with the newest research findings and establish new contacts.

The main scope of the conference will include (but not limit to):

l Highly efficient methods for preparation and production of nanocellulosic materials

l Characterization of the morphology and properties of nanocellulosic materials

l Modification of nanocellulosic materials to improve their performance

l Applications of nanocellulosic materials in traditional areas (e.g. paper and packaging products)

l Applications of nanocellulosic materials in non-traditional areas (e.g. rheology modifiers, food additives, coating & paintings, oil & gas, composites, etc.)

l Novel and emerging applications of nanocellulosic materials (medicine, biology, etc.)

l Other related topics.
